Job Title: Supervising Solar Journeyman Electrician
State of Oregon Journeyman Electrician License
State of Oregon Supervising Electrician License *
NABCEP Solar Installer Certification *
Valid Oregon drivers license or ability to obtain within 10 days of hire
Experience as supervisor or foreperson on construction site
Candidate must have the ability to self direct and organize work load of self and crew, communicate clearly, and conduct oneself in a professional and safe manner. Must demonstrate proficiency at; solar assessment, estimating, planning, procuring, permitting and completing all necessary diligence and calculations for electrical work with an emphasis on solar and/or other on site generating systems.
Analytical skills, sense of responsibility and interpersonal communications are equally important.
Competency with autocad, excel and word or equivalent software preferred.
This position, by the nature of the market, will require the successful applicant to be comfortable with work environments that may include one or more of the following potential hazards:
- Exposure to weather
- Exposure to lead based paints, asbestos, noise, chemicals and/or other new and retro construction site hazards

Assess and estimate new job leads. Design, schedule, permit, procure and install on site energy systems. Coordinate company resources with other supervisors. Participate as member of company management team. Supervise electrical and support crew, including direction of regular organization of tools, materials and recycled or waste materials. Complete electrical trade tasks. Provide on the job training and guidance to apprentice electricians.
This is a flow to the work installation crew. As such, this position may be required to provide electrical installation and support to other company electrical projects. The successful applicant must possess consistently positive communication skills with clients, co-workers and the public at large. As the supervisor of our largest electrical market, the successful applicant must assume professional responsibility for the planning, implementation and completion of assigned projects.
