She is a professional engineer licensed by the State of Oregon to practice environmental and mechanical engineering with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Santa Clara University. Ms Souza is the lead designer of alternative energy systems for the company and has provided professional environmental consulting services as the principal of Souza Environmental and Sol Coast since 1999. Ms. Souza specializes in alternative energy system design, water rights examination, and project management.

    This tour will begin at 8:30 at Black Market Gourmet in downtown Coos Bay with a no host breakfast and tour packet pick-up to Coos County sustainable living. Buses will be provided for participants at a nominal fee (tba) to tour the latest in new construction and improving existing homes and businesses. Among the stops we will be visiting a net-zero business, a typical solar electric residential installation, and a LEED fire station.
