Rick Zitzmann is a practicing engineer with a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Santa Clara University. Rick specializes in product design and manufacturing. First with a large manufacturing company, Anodizing Inc., producing bicycle frames, and then on his own as a contractor and sole proprietor of Sol Cycle Design. Rick balances his engineering mind set with a creative artistic release utlilizing any media he can get his hands on, but favoring acrylic paints.

    This tour will begin at 8:30 at Black Market Gourmet in downtown Coos Bay with a no host breakfast and tour packet pick-up to Coos County sustainable living. Buses will be provided for participants at a nominal fee (tba) to tour the latest in new construction and improving existing homes and businesses. Among the stops we will be visiting a net-zero business, a typical solar electric residential installation, and a LEED fire station.
